The ceremony will be transmitted live from Miami, FL, Thursday, February 18th, at 8 pm EST through Univision. Voting is open until January 25th through www.univision.com/shows/premio-lo-nuestro. This nomination follows in the footsteps of a highly momentous and successful 2020 for the Latin GRAMMY® nominated musician, who closed out the year with the surprise release of his latest EP “PARA MI EX.” The album boasts four feature tracks: “Explicito,” “Extasy,” “Mi X,” and the focus track “Bandido” alongside Urbano artist Juhn. Each track represents something that is fundamentally innate within Towers which is his endless and extensive ability to create music that connects with audiences globally. Additionally, YouTube announced today that Myke Towers has been selected as one of 21 artists joining the Artist Class of 2021 as part of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Grant Program to celebrate Black artistry around the world. The initiative will be dedicated to equipping Black artists and creators with all the resources to succeed on the platform. Take a look at the full Artist Class of 2021 here.

2020 was a year of many career highs for the Puerto Rican rapper as his album “Easy Money Baby” was nominated for a Latin GRAMMY® in the “Best Album - Urban Music” category. It also topped Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums” and “Latin Rhythm Albums” within the first week of its release (both entries marked his entry to the Billboard music lists as well as his first No.1 on the lists as well). The album (which went 3x Platinum), along with several of the tracks, received certifications by the RIAA: “La Playa” went 5x Platinum; “Diosa” went 3x Platinum; “La Playa Remix” went 1x Platinum; “Si Se Da” went 9x Platinum; “Si Se Da Remix” went 7x Platinum; and "Girl" went 3x Platinum. Towers also took part in the celebration of his Latin culture by participating as one of the prominent featured artists in Spotify’s national campaign during LatinX Heritage month 2020. He also participated in the NFL's Feel The Orgullo/NFL Votes initiative and Footaction’s La Musica campaign. Towers’ also gave one of the best performances as one of eight specially chosen artists for the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina 2020 last October. Following the foundation that was laid in 2020, and along with his most recent nominations for Premio Lo Nuestro, Towers will continue to lay the groundwork that will certify him as an icon among fans and the music industry. He is currently in the studio working on his upcoming album “Like Myke.” Towers’ is signed to White World Music and distributed by GLAD Empire.
